This never happened, no email or phone call to say why they failed to ring yesterday and I have enquired why by email twice since. I have my suspicions that despite Radio 6 championing themselves as being a station for unsigned or independent artists maybe they don’t like said musicians trying to get on the radio to promote/plug their material unless they are a recognised and signed artist or backed in some form by the ‘industry’. We are “Lost in a Sea of Pluggers” (see my blog) and industry darlings. This would have been my 4th appearance on a Radio 6 slot so maybe my name rung bells and they don’t like my vibe, just a shame listeners do not get to decide for themselves…
… I’ll have to live with fact that they don’t really live up to their advertised reputation and will continue to try to crawl from the underground while being held back and ignored by the ‘industry’ that looks for safe products and not original artists. hey ho ;o) x
